Grab Bar Heroes started on the job. As a HandyMangum crew, we kept seeing how much one well-placed, well-anchored grab bar meant to the people we worked for. So we built a company around that one job. Live Safe. Stay Strong.

Why Grab Bar Heroes exists

HandyMangum is a Central Florida handyman company, started in 2020. Handyman work covers a lot of ground, but the jobs that stayed with us were the ones about safety: helping people, especially our elders, make their homes safer so they could keep living in them.

Those jobs were often small, but they mattered more than almost anything else we did. A grab bar can be the difference between staying in the home you love and having to leave it. Most people we met wanted to age in place, and they deserved a crew that took that seriously.

So we gave that work its own company. We set out to build a company whose whole purpose is to help people stay safe and independent at home. Grab Bar Heroes is a spin-off of HandyMangum, and today we focus on one thing: installing grab bars the right way, for homes and businesses across Central Florida.

The family that started it

Grab Bar Heroes was founded by the Mangum family. Michael Mangum co-owns HandyMangum and runs it with his two sons. HandyMangum is veteran-owned, and that background shows up in how we work: show up when we say, do the job right, and stand behind it.

The family set the standards. The Grab Bar Heroes name is the promise that every install meets them, no matter which tech is at your door.

How every Grab Bar Heroes install is done

Every job follows the same standards, every time.

• Clear price first. $185 per grab bar, installed, with all mounting hardware included. The bar itself is extra: use your own, or we can supply one. See what's included in our pricing.
• Placement that fits the person. Our techs know the ADA guidelines for grab bar placement and help you pick spots where hands will actually reach.
• Any wall, anchored right. Tile, fiberglass and acrylic surrounds, drywall, and more. We choose the mounting method for your wall and use heavy-duty anchors rated for the bar.
• Installed solid. Our installs are built to last, and we stand behind every one.
• Lifetime workmanship warranty. If a bar we installed ever loosens because of how we put it in, we come back and fix it free, for as long as you own your home. We also come back at one year for a free inspection of every bar. (The bar itself is covered by its maker's warranty.)
• Left clean. We leave the room ready to use.

Licensed, insured, and local

Grab Bar Heroes is licensed and insured through HandyMangum and veteran-owned through HandyMangum. We're based in the Orlando / Longwood area, and you can reach a real person by phone or text Monday through Saturday, 7 AM to 5 PM.

We'd rather earn your trust than ask for it. That's why our site shows only photos from our own jobs, lists our price up front, and won't post a review that didn't come from a real customer.
